Pegasus is spyware created by an Israeli company NSO Group for the purpose of governments spying on its citizens. This spyware can potentially be installed on any iPhone, iPad ,or Android smartphone, running the latest os versions. All devices infected with NSO Pegasus spyware are vulnerable to sharing and sending back data such as microphones and cameras in real-time, sms messages, call history, passwords, location tracking, photos, videos, and even audio recordings. Scariest part about this spyware — it cannot be traced back to the government that’s using it against you.

The spyware is named after the mythical winged horse Pegasus— it’s a Trojan horse that can be sent “flying through the air” to infect mobile devices.
