Need to take a picture so that no one notices? Don't want to distract others? Or maybe you are just annoyed by the camera shutter sound?

Here are two workarounds for you:

1. Lower the volume before you launch the Camera app and start taking photos.

The trick here is not to forget to turn the sound back on once you're done with your photo shooting.

2. Open the Control Center on your device while in the Camera app:

• iPhone 8 and older: swipe up from the bottom of the screen;

• iPhone X and newer: swipe down from the top-right edge of the screen

Lower the sound from there. You can simply drag the sound icon .
