If you are not receiving Ask to Buy requests on your iPhone, follow these steps to troubleshoot:
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Family Sharing > Ask to Buy and ensure it is turned on for the child’s account.
Ask to Buy requests only go to the Family Organizer. Ensure you are signed in with the correct Apple ID:
Go to Settings > [Your Name].
Check if you are signed in with the right Apple ID.
If not, sign out and sign back in with the correct Apple ID.
If you are missing Ask to Buy notifications, check your notification settings:
Go to Settings > Notifications > Screen Time.
Ensure notifications for Ask to Buy are turned on.
Restart your device and check again.
Sometimes, a simple restart can fix Ask to Buy issues. Also, make sure your device is updated:
Restart both the organizer’s and child’s iPhones.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any pending updates.
If Ask to Buy is still not working, try removing and re-adding the child to Family Sharing:
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Family Sharing.
Select the child’s name and tap Remove.
Restart your device and add the child back to Family Sharing.
If you no longer want to use Ask to Buy, you can disable it:
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Family Sharing.
Select the child’s name.
Toggle Ask to Buy off.
